I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to The Skinny Bib. The Olympics are about to commence and while the world’s top athletes have been honing their performances, I have been working on my own. Let’s call it a marathon? For three weeks this month, I have cycled far and wide in search of London’s exceptional food and drink.



UPDATE: This venue has closed. At 259 Hackney Road, the eponymous wine shop sells traditionally and naturally made French wines from small producers. The artisanal producers at Spa Terminus in Bermondsey have come a long way. After facing difficulties with nearby Borough Market, London’s top producers founded their own marketplace at Maltby Street.
