I made the banner above for the Travel Show! It took me 2 weeks! This is an unreasonable amount of time! The seminar, “Discover the Latest Mobile Apps & Devices in Travel”, will also feature Wendy Perrin of Condé Nast Traveler. Tomorrow the Mad Sq Eats festival opens in NYC and you will find Rome’s Trapizzino at the Broken English stall. There, the street food made famous by Testaccio’s 00100, will be served 11am-9pm daily through October 19. Read the full text on the NYT Diner’s Journal here.

This may look like a katieparla-sized portion, but I assure you I shared this feast with friends. For our last breakfast in NYC, Şemsa and I met Sara Rosso at Dominique Ansel’s bakery for coffee and pastries. And one flourless chocolate cookie. On Sunday, Mamma Parla, Şemsa and I paid a visit to the New Amsterdam Market in Lower Manhattan. I had been anxious to return since my first trip back in December and was excited to find some old favorites were back and in full effect. (more…)
