You may recognize this ciambella al cioccolato from a previous post. It has become somewhat of a ritual for my friend Rob and I to grab a slice of this dense chocolate bunt cake to have as a snack while we work on revamping my old website. This time around, we added milk to the equation and (obviously) what a magical pairing it turned out to be. Everything about it made me question why I don’t drink milk with more snacks. I can’t even remember the last time I drank a glass of milk! Wait, it was actually January 25 when I ate a box of cookies from Levain Bakery. Damn those were good. But I digress…Today, Panificio Monti’s ciambella was particularly dense and what better than a tall glass of milk to wash down the chocolatey goodness?

This was already incredibly tempting when you last posted… and now it’s back!

April 22nd, 2009 at 6:01 pmI still say that slice of ciambella looks suspiciously like France.
April 22nd, 2009 at 7:10 pmCould you imagine the Italians drinking a glass of milk with their ciambella? Probably not…but they are surely missing out on a classic taste combination!
April 22nd, 2009 at 7:45 pm@Rob You have a point, sir.
@Tom Not in a million years. Unless that milk had hot coffee in it. Milk and cake is truly one of the most incredible beverage-food pairings known to man.
