Apricots With Kaymak

After being stuck in Istanbul’s interminable Saturday night traffic for more than two hours, I finally made it to Selin‘s house in Nişantaşı. A feast of typical Turkish dishes awaited, and at the end came a Selin original: marinated apricots filled with kaymak.

hmmm…not exactly a great pairing with dessert, but yes it was a very good and super salty way to start the meal!

i actually prefer kaymak with candied things rather than marinated ones. Im thinking quince, kabak tatlisi, or the super sweet ekmek kadiyif.
