I often say I am obsessed with food. To be more specific, I am obsessed with cheese, fried food, fried cheese, and artichokes. I think my fixation with the latter has become painfully obvious this month, as I have dedicated no less than five posts to the venerable thistle. I took this photo of this carciofo alla romana at Lo Scopettaro in Testaccio. I have had a lot of great artichokes recently but this one was particularly badass.

    Katie, I think it is just natural to be obsessed with artichokes. They have just come to season and the season will last only till June. Of course you can find artichokes beyond that time line but it is not at its best. We should make the most out of it. I cook it everyday in Kantin. I am so fixated with them.
