Here’s what’s in store for 2012:

Charitable Events

Food is my passion (one might even say my obsession) and I am very fortunate to eat very very well. I want to share that gift with others and it was in that spirit that Parla Food Charitable Events were born. Events are non-for-profit and proceeds will be donated to local food charities. In 2011 we raised over $1,000 with just three events and hopefully 2012 has even more to offer.

Following the success of last year’s event, an Aperi-Gelato (ice cream happy hour) will be held at Il Gelato di Claudio Torce’ in Piazza Monte d’Oro 91/92 on April 7, May 5, June 16, and July 14 from 6-8pm. Savor savory gelato will be served with a glass of wine for €5 (1 of which will go to a local food charity).

Beer Tastings in Rome

Learn about the thriving but little-known world of Italian craft beer during a guided tasting at Rome’s leading pub. Join Rome expert, beer lover and certified sommelier Katie Parla for a tasting of three beers from Italy’s top producers.

Blogger Events
