After closing its doors in September for more than three months of renovations (at a new location) Taverna dei Fori Imperiali in Rome’s Monti district has reopened. Sadly, I missed Saturday night’s the inaugural dinner, but it will be one of my first stops when I return to Rome later this month. The new and improved Taverna dei Fori Imperiali is located on Via Madonna dei Monti 9, just a few doors down from the original spot. For more on Taverna dei Fori Imperiali’s food and service, consult this post.

I am so glad they reopened. Visiting Rome wouldn’t be the same without a meal at Imperiali. Love it there

January 11th, 2010 at 2:43 pmI am so happy to hear that Taverna is once again open for bizz. I agree, a visit to Roma would not be complete without eating there at least once! Add to the list Al Vino Al Vino for an aperitivo and caponata. So many fantastic choices!
